Time to celebrate 75 years of peace in Europe

So, we have reached the end of the week of profiles that was to be our Faces of Europe event to celebrate 75 years of peace in Europe. Fittingly, given the current crisis, we finish with a GP, Dr Peter Burke from Ireland.
We launched, at the start of the week, with a look at Alexandrine Kantor, who works for the UK Atomic Energy Authority at Culham. And on Tuesday, we joined the fast lane with Piero Pallavicini, a reliability data specialist with the Renault F1 Team.
Wednesday saw a special 2 for 1 offer, with an additional opinion piece from Carl Schoenfeld, on how even subtle changes of language post-Brexit can leave their mark. Yesterday, Leen Martens, who may only have been here for 18 months, outlined the enormous contribution people such as her make to our communities.
You will notice at the start of this article, we said this was to be a week of profiles. However, the response has been so overwhelming, with many people nominating neighbours who they think deserve recognition, that we have decided to keep Faces of Europe running.
Over the course of the next few weeks we will be meeting with more residents of EU countries who have made Oxfordshire their home. We hope you are looking forward to meeting them as much as we are and, of course, if you would like to nominate anyone, please drop us an email at euromoveoxon@gmail.com.
